APOSTOLIC DOCTRINE

What We Believe

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” KJV (Acts 2:38-39)

BISHOP & FIRST LADY

Bishop Jackson was born in Dallas, Texas where he joined the Air Force military soon after graduating high school. He was stationed at Clark Air Force Base, where he received the Holy Ghost and his call to the ministry in 1983.

It was also there that he married his beautifully amazing wife, our First Lady, Rosie Jackson. They had two wonderful and absolutely crazy daughters before coming back to Texas.

It was up under Pastor Lawrence King that Bishop’s ministry began to expand. Then, after working in all aspects of the church under Pastor Timothy Wallace, from cleaning toilets to being Youth Pastor, the Lord positioned him as Pastor over this congregation in February 2006.

It was in June of 2014 that Bishop Chester Wright ordained him as Bishop, and ever since that elevation, God has expanded the church to parent and assist multiple daughter and autonomous works.

Bishop and First Lady Jackson love their church family and their church family loves them tremendously. The church looks forward to unprecedented growth as they continue under their leadership.

The Basics: What We Believe

The Gifts of the Spirit

The gifts of the Spirit are given to benefit the church body of Christ. As God leads our Bishop and under his authority, God moves in our midst through these gifts. (1 Cor 12:7)

The 5-Fold Ministry

We believe in Apostles, Prophets, Preachers, Teachers and Evangelists. (1 Cor 12:28)

Men and Women Ministers

FUPC believes in male and female ministers as supported by scriptures. (Acts 2:17)
